BIG IDEA
Sharing Jesus worships God and sticks with people.
MESSAGE NOTES:
WHAT:
The very first Christmas (the day Jesus was born) the shepherds chose to share their stories. Often times we allow somethings to keep us from sharing Jesus with other people.
Things like:
“People don’t want to hear me talk about Jesus.”
“They probably already know I go to church.”
“They don’t believe what I believe.
“I don’t want to come off judgmental.”
We don’t realize that:
Sharing Jesus worships God and it sticks with people.
SO WHAT:
Sharing Jesus:
Worships God.
It sticks with people.
After seeing him, the shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this child. All who heard the shepherds’ story were astonished, but Mary kept all these things in her heart and thought about them often. The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them. Luke 2:17-20
NOW WHAT:
Worship is worth it regardless of the results.
In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:16
Here are some ways we can share Jesus:
“Can I tell you what we talked about at YX?”
“Here’s something I read out of the bible that encouraged me.”
“I used to _____ but honestly, Jesus changed me.”
“I still have a lot of questions too, but something about Jesus is really compelling.”
