Jesus is God

“Who do people say I am?”

People thought Jesus was another prophet, a good teacher or religious leader.

Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Matthew 16:15 NLT

Peter said He believed Jesus is two things:

1. The Messiah. 2. The Son of the living God.

Jesus isn't just another prophet who speaks to and for God. Jesus is God.

How does this whole God the Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit thing work?

Christians believe there is only one God.

Christians believe that God is three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

So followers of Jesus don’t believe that Jesus was just a moral teacher, a prophet, a religious guide. Jesus is God himself.

Jesus shows us that God wants us and we want God.

The very act of God coming to the world shows us that above anything else: God wants his people.

Jesus was magnetic. Anybody that spent time with him wanted to stay around him.

As great as it is to know that Jesus is God, it’s better to know that Jesus is my God.

If you could live knowing God wants you, you wouldn’t have to put on a show anywhere for acceptance.

Q1: If someone asked you who Jesus is, what would you say?

Q2: If you’re not sure Jesus is God. What do you think it would take for you to able to confidently say that you believe He is?

Q3: Why does it matter whether or not Jesus is God?

Q4: How would knowing that God wants you, change you?

Q5: How would knowing that your soul actually wants God, change you?
