Finding Your Tribe

MESSAGE NOTES:

WHAT:

Tribe: any collection of people united by ties of descent from a common ancestor, community of customs and traditions, allegiance to the same leaders.

All of creation has one common ancestor.  Our Father in heaven.

God’s intention for humanity was for us to live in community.

SO WHAT:

You are or can be a part of the biggest tribe there is.

Who is in the Tribe? Anyone who chooses to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

God loves the World. Nobody is excluded from that. Anyone who chooses to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior is a part of the tribe.

NOW WHAT:

When you are a part of the biggest tribe on Earth... you will never be alone again.

When you are a part of the biggest tribe on Earth...you will always have a brother or sister to help you through life.

When you are a part of the biggest tribe on Earth...you will have family to celebrate with.

When you are a part of the biggest tribe on Earth...you can find a home wherever you go. 

 We need each other, because we were made for each other.

Treat the people in your tribe like you want them to be there.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

Q1: How would it change the way you treated people you don’t really like or don’t even know that well if you thought of them like Jesus did; “my brother and my sister”?

Q2: What is a benefit of being in a tribe?

Q3: Do you feel like you are in a tribe? Why? or Why not?

Q4: What is one thing you can do or say this week to show the people you are around that you want them in your tribe?
