Letter From Lockdown 2

BIG IDEA

Joy comes by viewing people, including yourself, as God’s work.

MESSAGE NOTES:

WHAT:

Philippians 1:7-8 NLT So it is right that I should feel as I do about all of you, for you have a special place in my heart. You share with me the special favor of God, both in my imprisonment and in defending and confirming the truth of the Good News. God knows how much I love you and long for you with the tender compassion of Christ Jesus.

Joy says, "I trust God is working in people, including me."

SO WHAT:

If you’re confident in God’s ability to keep working in you, you can also be confident in his ability to keep working in others.

Philippians 1:9 NLT I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.

God is committed to the work. So when you put your faith in Jesus, your sin doesn’t stop God's commitment to you.

NOW WHAT:

"If God can work in me, he can work in them too.” This view of people, including yourself, will bring you joy.

Regardless of where they are, we can be thankful that people are God’s work in progress.

Joy comes by viewing people, including yourself, as God’s work.

God is working in me, and God is working in you, too.
