Worship is…

Big Idea

We sing songs because Jesus deserves it and it changes us.

Message notes:

Singing songs is either the reminder to get reset on worshiping God this week or the punctuation mark after a week of worshiping him on your own.

We sing songs because Jesus deserves it and it changes us.

Luke 19:40 “I tell you," He answered, if they keep silent the very rocks will cry out."

Worshiping together helps me believe something true about Jesus before I even "feel it.”

Worship is personal but it isn’t private. You worship, but others can see. This means you can sing out loud, lift your hands, do visible acts of service for Jesus that others benefit from. Because my worship inspires others to worship.

Group Questions:

Q1: Do you have a worship song that makes you feel extra connected to the Lord? If so, what is it about that song?

Q2: Do you feel like YX worship is usually your reminder to get reset on God for the week or the punctuation mark after a week of worshiping him on your own?

Q3: Why is it important to worship in public? To sing loudly, or to raise your hands, or even fall to your knees?

Q4: How does it make you feel when you see someone else experiencing worship?

Q5: Have you ever been encouraged/inspired by watching someone else worship?

Q6: Which are do you need to work on in your own worship? Your thoughts, your actions, or your affection?
